Lake Lutheran or Lakeview Cemetery
Section 23, Lake Township

Lakeview Lutheran Cemetery is on the church site at 3250 190th Street, County Road C30.
Lake Church was formally organized with 68 members on May 23, 1891 as the Lake Norwegian Evangelical Lutheran Church. The church building was built in 1893 for approximately $1250. It was enlarged in 1917 and again in 1976 to its present size.
The church has eight sons of the congregation who have become ministers. One of these, Dr. Kent S. Knutson, became the second Bishop of the American Lutheran Church from 1971 to 1973. He and his wife Norm are buried in the church cemetery.
The longest serving pastor was Rev. T. J. Severtson, who served from 1934 to 1973, almost forty years.
