CORINTH CEMETERY
Section 29, Corinth Township
In 1898 Erick Ira Sampson donated 1 acre of land to the Corinth
Norwegian Lutheran Church for a burial place for members and families.
Ira Sampson was Eilert Sampson's grandfather.
The original cemetery had
fifty-six plots.
In 1993, when Trinity
Lutheran joined with First Lutheran to become Our Saviour's Lutheran
Church, the cemetery was renamed Our Saviour's Lutheran Cemetery.
In 1993 Gladys Griffith
and Esther Intermill, granddaughters of Ira Sampson, gave 1/2 acre of
land to create 120 more burial plots.
According to the
stones three people were buried in 1895. |
